CCN’s September 29th Hero is Gabrielle

I was diagnosed in 2000 at the age of 3 with ALL.  I went through 2.5 years of chemotherapy.  I’m 19 years old now, and I’ve been in remission for 16 years, but…I have had multiple late effects from treatment.  If I could say anything to my cancer it would be “You ruined my life.”  My favorite food is tamales.  I love green corn tamales because they are delicious!  I would love to travel to Germany some day.

Motto:  Anything in life worth doing, is worth overdoing.  Moderation is for cowards!
