CCN’s September 4^th Hero is Elyssia!

Elyssia was first diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) at the age of 7.  She has been cancer free for several years and is now 15 years old!  She remembers being in the hospital a lot and that the nurses and staff made it easy for her.  She would tell other survivors, “Stay strong and push through.  It will be a rough journey but it will be okay in the end.”  She would someday like to be a doctor-pediatric oncologist.  Helping other kids go through the experience is something she would like to do since she knows what it is like.  She would like to travel the world.  And on her “bucket list” she would like to explore and see different things.  Her super power would be to read minds.  She would love to know what people think!
