Michael Roland, Sr.

Mike recently retired from his position as Chief Operating Officer at Voya Financial, a NYSE listed financial services company, after a 22-year career.  He has been involved with Children’s Cancer Network since 2007, when employees at Voya chose the organization as one of its preferred charities to support.   Mike joined the Board in 2017 and brought his wealth of experience to the organization.  He serves as Treasurer of the Board and also Chairman of the Finance Committee and Chairman of the Tommy Bahama Golf Committee.  His favorite program events are the Tommy Bahama Sunset Classic Golf Tournament (which has become one of the premier tournaments in the Valley) and the Scholarship program.

In his leisure time, Mike takes time to hike, enjoy the California beach with his wife, play golf, and assist with several small businesses. His philosophy in life mirrors the words of Rudyard Kipling’s “If” which reminds us to remain balanced in life and have the confidence and patience to handle any situation presented.
